Before you sign up for a platform

# A bid-to-build system built around how you already run jobs.

Built on site with your team, and yours to keep after six months.

If you are pricing out Procore or one of the smaller platforms, you already know what you are in for. The quote depends on your volume, the setup lands on you, and your crew has to learn a system that was built for somebody else. We do it the other way around. Hannah and Dan come to your shop, learn how your bids and jobs actually move, and build the system to match. One commercial contractor we did this with now reviews a bid in about an hour instead of an afternoon and gets proposals out in two days instead of a week.

20 minutes on the phone, nothing to prepare, and if we are not the right fit we will tell you. Or call or text Dan at [(615) 669-0547](tel:+16156690547).

## How it compares to buying a platform

| What to compare | An off-the-shelf platform | Shop & Field |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Setup | You configure it, usually on nights and weekends. | We come on site and build it around your process. |
| Fit | Your company adapts to their workflow. | The system follows the way your team already works. |
| Adoption | Your crew learns a new tool and a lot of it goes unused. | Built with your people as we go, so it is in use before we leave. |
| Cost | A monthly fee for as long as you use it, often priced on your volume. | One flat monthly fee for six months, then it is yours. |
| Support | A ticket and a knowledge base. | Someone who has stood in your shop and knows your jobs. |
| When you stop paying | The workflow and the data go with it. | Everything runs on accounts in your name and stays with you. |

What you end up with

## Two things fixed, and a system your team runs without us.

Every engagement builds two improvements. One is on the side that runs the work, like job intake, job folders, estimating or the handoff from award to startup. The other is on the side that wins the work, like proposals, follow-up or how customers find and contact you. For a shop that usually means quoting and job intake. For a contractor it usually means bids and proposals.

For one commercial general contractor, it became a tool we call Plan Room. Bids come in, get reviewed and turn into proposals in one place, and the job information carries forward when the work is awarded. It runs on accounts in their name and their team runs it day to day.

A custom build sounds expensive and slow, and most people have heard about the one nobody could keep running after the builder left. Ours is scoped to two improvements, built in six months while you keep running jobs, and documented and handed to your team so it keeps working after we are gone. Any software it runs on is something you can get help with from the vendor directly.

Where AI helps, like drafting a proposal from your past bids or sorting incoming plans, we build it into the workflow and show your team how to check the output. You get the speed without handing your bids to a tool nobody on the team understands.

What it costs

## One flat monthly fee for six months.

We tell you the number on the first call so you can compare it to whatever quote you are holding. There is no subscription to us and nothing to renew. Any software the system runs on is billed to you directly by the vendor with no markup, and the accounts are in your name from day one.

The first step

## The first step is a 20-minute call.

The first conversation is 20 minutes on the phone and you do not need to prepare anything. If it sounds like a fit, one of us spends about an hour at your shop or jobsite while you walk us through a normal day. Afterward you get a one-page note with what we heard and the first thing we would change, whether or not we work together. We prepare a proposal only if you ask for one.

Based in Nashville and working with companies across the Southeast. The site visit is part of every engagement, so if you are further out we come to you.
